The QualiTraining Project has its third National Event in Graz, Austria on 22nd and 23rd June 2009 with collaboration ÖSZ (Österreichisches Sprachen-Kompetenz-Zentrum). The co-organisors had very special requests as to the content of the workshop, which was closely connected with their SPIN Project. The main aim of SPIN to support innovation in schools through projects in language education. The SPIN Project operates a database, in which projects are qualified through a set of indicators.
The workshop content was developed in co-operation with the SPIN Project co-ordinator and included both general project management and quality concepts but mainly relied on participants’ input with reference to their own practice and the criteria they use in evaluating projects. The workshop was run mainly through interactive tasks and by the end of the second workshop day these have been achieved:
· Certain problem areas and issues have been identified
· The aims of all stakeholders have been clearly identified
· Concrete proposals for further work to plan the second phase of the SPIN project have been developed in the following areas:
- Documenting project implementation – a TEMPLATE for project description
- Communication – a FLYER to stimulate project ideas and submission the SPIN database
- Review and supplementation of SPIN INDICATORS.
